D is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW). D obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in (2007) and Masters of Social Work in (2011). D has worked in the field of social services for the last 16 years and professionally as a therapist for the last 7 years. D believes women play an integral role in raising, nurturing, molding and guiding others. Every woman has a story & an important journey that is as unique to them as their DNA; whether they find themselves in the role of grandmother, mother, stepmother, wife/partner, ex-wife/partner, aunt, sister, friend, advocate or professional. The contribution of women to society is limitless, timeless and essential. D’s goal is to empower women of all ages to heal, increase self-esteem & learn healthy & meaningful skills that will assist them to be successful in their continuing journey. D has worked with a variety of populations including families, individuals, teens, couples, adults & those who have been involved with the legal system. She has experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma (life changing events, sexual, physical, emotional and mental abuse), ADHD/ADD, self-injurious behavior, LGBTQ , emotional regulation, parenting & employment issues. D utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care.
